Rod Stewart cuts a stylish figure in plaid blazer and denim jeans as he pushes a stroller alongside glamorous wife Penny Lancaster at LAX

After spending Christmas on home turf in London, it was back to the warmer climes of Los Angeles for Rod Stewart and his family on Sunday afternoon.

The 70-year-old crooner was seen making a stylish arrival at LAX airport alongside his wife Penny Lancaster, pushing a red stroller as he made his way down the terminal.

He wore a classy plaid blazer with denim jeans, which was teamed with a pale blue shirt, a knitted cardigan and coordinating suede trainers.

Rocking his tousled spiky bleached blonde hair, he concealed his eyes with an obligatory designer shades as he happily stopped at intervals to sign autographs for fans.

Meanwhile, his glamorous wife turned heads in a chic black fur coat, which was paired with a plunging blouse and tight trousers.

She allowed her natural beauty to shine with minimal traces of makeup, while accessorising her getup with a delicate gold necklace.

Rod and Penny have been together for 15 years and together they have two young sons - Alastair, nine, and Aiden, four.

They appeared to be in great and content spirits following their long-haul flight from the UK.

Penny recently revealed the secret to their lasting love, as she told Daily Mirror newspaper: 'Our honeymoon period seems to have lasted forever, we still have a connection like we just met.' And the mum-of-two says it's all about making time for the three men in her life: 'Most men are still needy, especially when you have been in a long relationship before children arrive, and then children do take up a big part of your time and men feel they are left out a bit.

'So I make a very conscious effort to dedicate time - the two of us going out for dinner or having breakfast together. Just a moment amongst the madness, he still needs attention,' she added to the newspaper.

The music legend and third wife Penny have been together since 1999 and tied the knot in a medieval monastery in the Italian Riviera town of Portofino in June 2007, between the births of their two sons.

Rod also has six other children from previous relationships and in August the whole extended family enjoyed a group trip to Hawaii.

Glamorous Penny Lancaster and husband Rod Stewart get into the festive spirit as they treat son Aiden to fun day out at Winter Wonderland

He might have welcomed his son Aiden later in life, but Rod Stewart proved he's just as much a hands on dad as ever when he enjoyed a family outing to Winter Wonderland on Tuesday.
The 70-year-old star looked to be reveling some quality time with his four-year-old son and his stunning wife Penny Lancaster as they sauntered around the London attraction.
Model Penny, 44, looked typically glam for the outing as she wrapped up in a fur coat which was shaded in a mustard tone.

The former face of lingerie brand Ultimo, who also shares son Alistair, 10, with the Have I Told You Lately crooner, highlighted her slender pins in black skinny jeans.
Penny finished the chic look with stylish buckled ankle boots, a perfect choice for her day of walking.

The long-time musician made sure to stay close to his youngest child during their day at the festive event as he clasped his hand, the other hand clutching on to a teddy bear he looked to have won during their day out.
The youngster looked particularly in the Christmas spirit as he sported a red festive knit which was emblazoned with the face of a reindeer wearing sunglasses.

Aiden looked to be having the time of his life as he hopped from ride to ride, though Rod looked to steer clear of the attractions, instead opting to watch from the side and wave.
Penny seemed equally uninterested as she locked arms with her husband back on solid ground.

Rod Stewart: 15 Things You Didn’t Know (Part 1)

Rod Stewart is one of the most famous and talented British musicians of all time. Though the rocker has spent a considerable amount of time in the spotlight, there are still some things that many people don’t know about him. Here, we present our list of 15 things you probably didn’t know about Rod Stewart. Check out part one below, and stay tuned for part two, coming soon!

Number Fifteen: He Has Lived in Los Angeles for 40 Years. Stewart might be British at heart, but he has made Los Angeles his home since 1975. He fled the U.K. because of “tax reasons.” The mansion he keeps with his wife Penny Lancaster has eight bedrooms and 13 bathrooms.

Number Fourteen: He Had Throat Cancer. Stewart discovered that he had a cancerous growth on his thyroid in 2000, and he had to have surgery. While he was in recovery, he lost his ability to sing for nine months, and he was concerned he would never be able to sing again. However, he eventually got his voice back.

Number Thirteen: “Maggie May” Is Based on a Figure From His Past. Stewart lost his virginity to an older woman outdoors, and he mentions it in his song, “Maggie May.” The lyrics that reference it are, “The morning sun, when it’s in your face, really shows your age.”

Number Twelve: He Met His Wife as the Result of a Dare. Stewart was drinking in London’s Dorchester Hotel when 27-year-old model Penny Lancaster approached him as part of a dare. The two now have two children together.

Number Eleven: He Wrote One of the First Songs That Supports Gay Rights. Stewart’s song, called “The Killing of Georgie,” became one of the very first pop songs that protests the treatment of gay men. It was inspired by one of his gay friends who was murdered.

Number Ten: He Loves World War II. According to an interview he did, Stewart is a World War II buff, and he is also a CNN junkie.

Number Nine: He Gets an Annual Stress Test. Stewart is health-conscious, and in his old age must make sure everything is working properly. Because of this, he gets a stress test once a year.

Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster share festive family photo

Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster are getting into the festive spirit as Christmas quickly approaches. The couple donned their Christmas jumpers for a family photo alongside their two sons Alistair, ten, and Aiden, four, which was shared on Penny's Instagram page on Thursday.

The snap shows the family sitting together on a bench outside, with Penny resting her arm around Rod's shoulder as a smiling Aiden sits between them. Rod in turns has his arm around their eldest son Alistair, who is wearing a Christmas tree knit jumper and Santa hat with his school uniform.

Penny and Rod have shared a Christmas photo with their two sons

"Christmas jumpers!!!" Penny captioned the family photo.

The 44-year-old is clearly excited to celebrate Christmas with Rod and their extended family, including his other children Kimberley, Sean, Ruby, Renée and Liam. Sharing a black-and-white family portrait of them all on a staircase together on Thursday, Penny wrote: "Look forward to seeing these guys soon!!"

The couple are still as happy as ever after 15 years together, with Penny recently sharing the secret to their successful relationship in an interview with The Mirror. "Our honeymoon period seems to have lasted forever," she said. "We still have a connection like we just met."

Penny said she is looking forward to celebrating Christmas with family

She continued: "I try and split my time between my eldest child Rod – and my two other boys. Most men are needy, especially when you have been in a long relationship before children arrive, and then children do take up a big part of your time and men feel left out a bit. So I make a conscious effort to dedicate time – the two of us going for dinner, or having breakfast. Just a moment among the madness, he still needs attention."

Rod Stewart: Celtic's Ronny Deila out to win over his critics

Celtic manager Ronny Deila accepts he still has to prove the job is not too big for him.

Celebrity supporter Rod Stewart said after the end of Celtic's European campaign that he felt the Norwegian was out of his depth.

Despite having won two trophies last season, Deila acknowledges he is not beyond criticism.

"At Celtic, when you don't achieve what the demands are, you have to prove yourself," he said of his critics.

"But you have to get the chance to do it and I will do everything I can to prove that and make them swallow their words."

Deila, whose side could still complete a domestic treble this season, admitted he was a big admirer of singer Stewart.

He's a good ambassador for the club," said the manager.

"I met him once when we won the league trophy, so hopefully I can meet him again in that (scenario).

"When you don't get the result you want, of course people will be critical of what's happening and I have no problems with that.

"I've had a lot of positive critics as well, before the European campaign this year, so this is also something I have to manage.

"The only thing I think of now is to finish this season in a very good way and we need to make the improvements I know can make us successful."

X FACTOR CHE CHESTERMAN  DUET WITH ROD STEWART

'I wouldn't mind David Moyes!' - Celtic fan Rod Stewart tells talkSPORT it is time to change managers

Celtic fan Rod Stewart believes the club is too big for manager Ronny Deila and would like to David Moyes to replace him at the helm.

The Hoops crashed out of the Europa League this week at the bottom of Group A, without winning a single match.

And despite being four points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership, Stewart claims the side are underperforming.

“If I was to say anything about the manager, I just think that maybe the club’s a bit too big for him at this point in his career,” the Maggie May singer told Drivetime.

“I don’t want to run him down and mock him but that’s the way I look at it.”

When pushed on whether former Manchester United and Everton boss David Moyes would be a good fit at the Scottish champions, Stewart admitted he was his first choice.

“I can’t say that, I’m very close to the board there and the executive chairman. Something is wrong, but I wouldn’t mind David Moyes at all!”
